How does Tonis MOLDSHOCK 5.1 work?
Tonis Schimmelschock 5.1 has excellent antibacterial properties. The existing mold mycelium and its spores are firmly embedded in the paint layer by the first spray application of Tonis Schimmelschock 5.1. The second layer of paint provides an antibacterial / antifungal surface. The ingrowth or penetration of mold on the surface treated with Tonis Schimmelschock 5.1 is completely prevented.
How often do I apply Tonis Moldshock 5.1?
Tonis Schimmelschock 5.1 should be applied twice to the existing mold. Allow the first coat to dry and then apply the second coat. Microbiological analyses have shown that a double application of the mold remover is reliable and effective against microbial infestation.
How does it work on colored surfaces?
Tonis Schimmelschock 5.1 is only available in the color “white”. In our 4.5 liter bucket, Tonis Schimmelschock 5.1 can easily be tinted to the desired shade using commercially available tinting paints with up to 5% added tinting paint. Example: 5% for 4.5 liters of Tonis Schimmelschock 5.1 corresponds to a maximum addition of 225ml of tinting paint.
How does mold develop?
Permanently high humidity in rooms of more than 60% means that the risk of mold growth is very high. Due to high heating costs, rooms are occupied at lower temperatures. Consequence: dew point shift on walls and damp surfaces, mold develops. To protect health and the indoor climate, it is important to remove mold and also to eliminate the causes.
How do I prevent mold?
Correct ventilation: Mold can be prevented very well by proper ventilation. Windows should always be opened fully, the window glass will mist up with a damp film if the interior humidity is too high. Once this dries on the glass surface, the window can be closed again. It is generally recommended to air the room three times a day.
